Who We Are


I’m Helen and I formed Busi People Partners after meeting many small to medium business owners who were struggling with people issues. From making their first hire, managing an employee who wasn’t delivering or just wanting to do their best for their team and not knowing where to start. Having a team was stressful, confusing and frankly frightening!

Most of the business owners I spoke to were just brilliant in delivering their product or service – they were entrepreneurial, passionate and were experiencing (or starting to experience) success. Very few of these business owners had years of people management experience behind them, very few had started their business because they really wanted to manage a team and in fact, managing a team was taking them away from what they loved to do.

I met people who had actively sought help, some who had invested heavily in HR support and received a huge file of policies and documents which they now stored on their network but actually never used. That was my inspiration to start Busi People Partners, I want to ensure small business owners get the services and support they need, for a price they can afford.

I’ve been working in the ‘People’ space for around 15 years and I genuinely love what I do. Ultimately my satisfaction comes from making a difference and delivering value to those around me. I have worked with a variety of industries including; hospitality, retail, technology, engineering, beauty and recruitment, with employee numbers ranging from 5 to 33,000 across the UK and globally. I believe every business has it’s own identity, culture and it’s own needs and I’m adamant that every service we provide is scaled and relevant to the business we are supporting.

I work with a small number of Associates behind the scenes to deliver the best services to my clients. All our HR Associates are CIPD qualified with over 10 years experience gained in a variety of industries and business sizes.
